I, Jennelle, am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I also hold an Honours Bachelors of Inclusive and Therapeutic Recreation and Leisure (2014) and was practicing as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) until 2021.

I specialize in working with perinatal mental health, parenting issues, women’s issues, anxiety, and depression. I use evidence-based therapies, applying the most up-to-date research and therapy approaches. Services are provided in person in Orillia, Ontario, and by telephone or virtually.

I started my career as a Recreation Therapist, working in some of the best in-patient mental health programs in the province, supporting children and adolescents. After moving to Simcoe County in 2015, I transitioned to working as a program facilitator at an EarlyON Child and Family Centre, supporting families during the hardest stages of parenthood. This experience, coupled with my own journey into parenthood, fueled my decision to pursue further education to better help people who are struggling. I'm now finishing my Masters degree and looking forward to integrating the knowledge and skills gathered from my previous experiences.

I look forward to helping people handle life's challenges through the power of meaningful conversation, therapeutic tools, and strategies that are aimed at creating lasting change. I'm working as hard as possible to ensure I get the highest quality training and professional development to provide a better service to all my clients. You'll find I'm naturally more of a listener than a talker, but I also don't shy away from confronting issues and doing the necessary work together.

My goal is simply to be as helpful as I can be to people who are experiencing unique sets of challenges during the hardest stages of their lives. For those who are struggling and who feel like the demands of life are impossible: I hear you, I see you, I was you, and some days I still am. More than anything, I have also come to realize that we can't do this alone. We weren't meant to; we weren't designed to. I can't promise that therapy will resolve all of the difficulties you're facing, but I can promise that you won't be going through it alone.
